Basic commands

JES2:

Command Very generally what it does.
$a Release any held job or range of jobs
$b Backspace. Logically backspace printer output
$c Cancel. Stops a job immediately, regardless of consequences
$d Display
$p Stops a job after it has completed it's current activity and removes all traces from the system
$e Restart a currently executing job
$f Logically advance printer output
$g View, control jobs on any node
$h Holds things
$i Interrupt printer output
$o release or cancel held output groups
$r Reroute to another destination both ready and held output for batch jobs, started tasks, or TSO/E users. Only output groups.
$t Change things and more
$z Halt

d r,l Displays outstanding messages
d c,l Displays consoles and their status
d t Displays mainframe current date and time
d iplinfo Displays information on last mainframe IPL
d a,l Displays everything currently running on the mainframe
$si[nnn-nnn] Start initiators. "n" represents number of initiators.
$pi[nnn-nnn]
$c [jobname] Cancel the specified job
$c u=[username] Cancel a user.
$h[jobname] Hold a job
